The wine has grown beautifully over the years. By far this was the best of the three bottles. Opened a couple of hours prior to pouring. Served with strip steaks Blue fruit on a smooth balanced backbone. Spice and earth are underneath. Perfect combination of Napa and Bordeaux. Once again the 2011 vintage crushes it albeit at an earlier age It’s no longer a surprise. Clearly the projections for this vintage were wrong.

PnP which I don't usually do, tasted kind of blank for the first few minutes. Muted flavors. Opened up as time went by and on to the second day but still was not that great. With the picture of cupid, it is one of the prettiest labels of any wine out there though.

No green notes, like some of my less favorite 2011s, but seemed a bit lacking as a whole. A touch thin, in color and on the nose, with a lot of acid/tartness on the finish. A fine wine, but I’ll put my other 2011s away and see if they come around.

Red fruit, spice and some leather, this wine has improved dramatically in the last several years. It is on the lighter side, but this didn’t hurt the experience at all. What stood out was the long finish, almost a minute in length.

Currants with a touch of herb. Lighter than many Napa Cabs. Good but not great.
