Towards end of drinking window, but has mellowed quite nicely. Finish is shorter but pleasant, with hints of chocolate and espresso. Tannins were light as expected for the age.

Medium dark garnet, mild aromas of eucalyptus. Medium bodied with slightly chalky tannins, otherwise there's no rough edges let on this one, nice easy mouthfeel. Blackberry chocolate mousse with a medium long bakers chocolate finish. This ones probably just a little past prime, but delicious nonetheless. This one could be a sort of dessert after a hardy rich braised beef dish. Last one from my cellar, interesting to see the evolution of this one well past most peoples, including my, "Drink Latest" date.

Medium shimmering ruby color, aromas of raisin and fig and a touch of mint. Medium bodied with a silky smooth texture with primary flavors of black cherry, blueberry, dark chocolate mid palate, followed by espresso that lingers on the persistent finish. Very nice wine tannins have been fully integrated, no decanting necessary just a brief airing out in the glass. I don't think this wine has much to benefit from further aging, I would drink within the next year, two tops.

2014 New York Wine Experience Trip; 10/14/2014-10/21/2014 (New York City, NY): Polished and expressive, this deep ruby wine offers aromas of bramble fruits, cherries, espresso, anise and sassafras. Medium-bodied and with low-to-medium acidity, it delivers black and red fruit flavors which are supported by medium-weight supple tannins, nicely integrated oak and seamless alcohol (listed as 14.6%). The middle palate is solid and the lengthy finish is smooth. So easy to drink and packed with flavor, it is difficult to put down the glass! Enjoy it over the next decade. Drink now-2024.
