Very nice Mersault, especially at this level. Mineral, citrus and saline qualities. Light and less cream and oak notes than I expect from a Mersault. Lacks complexity, not surprisingly for the price and level. But an enjoyable, light white burgundy with a great QPR.

PNP into BB&R Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Medium lemon to the eyes.
Nose of relatively mature citrus fruits, apricots and sweet cereals like cornflakes and buttery pop-corn notes. Quite nice for this level indeed.
Highly mineral with a nice linear acidity backbone that extends from initial attack to finish. Not very complex but more about good execution. Persistent finish but quite some oxidative notes.
90-91 points.
