Lovely and mature...with leather and cedar box notes, brambleberries and blackberry. You can really ID this as what goes into a good Medoc Cab Blend tho in this case a standalone from L&L who are IMO the one of the best CA Cab blenders and certainly #1 for me in the Sta Barbara CTY AVA. As a standalone it's fantastic and informative and completely enjoyable.

In the tasting room, my first thought was "dried cut grass." Amazing, unique notes, even better than the supposedly superior 2009 vintage. When I drank my bottle, those grassy notes were less obvious and included black licorace notes. Unique, pleasant wine!

A little acidic it seemed, though overall reasonably drinkable after an hour or two of decant time.
