  • Wonderful wine showing typicity for the vintage.

The nose is decidedly earthy with interesting umami streaks. Porcini, vanilla, kelp, white peach, yellow apple, cranberry and kimchi notes make this an interesting glass to explore.

The palate is slightly disjointed from the nose but I believe that is because of it's youth. Where the nose shows umami the palate reads as mostly fruit. There is also no hint of oak on the palate with the exception of texture and a hint of tannin. Sour nectarine and plum are the defining qualities followed by yellow cherry and bees wax. It has a pectin-like quality that gives the wine an almost squeaky clean sensation.

This wine would love some time in your cellar. This is a wine for quiet contemplation, not necessarily for glugging on the patio.
