  Marsanne, Rousanne, Viognier blend - rather better than the Hermit Crab 2008 Rhone blend drank recently (see separate notes), but again some of the same characteristics - light, not very distinguished and little varietal impact. This desperately needs more Roussanne I'd say.

  Had this wine for a Friday night pizza party with a couple of friends.
  
  Wine had a rocky, mineral nose. On the palate it is sharp and focused. A dry wine, it developed complexity along the way. Made up of traditionally Rhone grapes, this is not a usual new world white.
  
  Interesting, after it opened up, the dryness and flavours of the wine handled the acidity of the food well.
  
  Generally a well integrated and balanced wine which I may try again with other cuisines.
