slightly subdued nose, ripe cherry and a decent hint of forest floor and a touch of oak and spice. Still quite fresh on the palate, a bit of spicy oak, then fades into cherry fruit and a good dollop of acidity leaves a long finish. A very pleasant NZ PN, maybe not top of the line, but still easy to drink and most enjoyable.

This wine was just not particularly good. Maybe I drank it too young, but halfway through dinner it was bracken and ashy. It's the sort of wine I used to think was pinot noir before I drank better examples of the breed, Coldstream Hills for one, or even a Burgundian Cave de Lugny. Within the Saint Clair stable, the Sauvignon Blanc is a much better pick.

Good example of the less fruit-driven New World Pinots. Slighty peppery w raspberries and cherries. Very good nose and initially very promising nusnced palate which kind of collapses as there is almost no lingering. Good wine, very enjoyable but doesn't last.

Good depth with notes of raspberry and a slight peppery taste.

Quite well balanced. Chalky undertones with plummy flavours. Decent length. Decent wine for the price.
