[IWFS-Vic Top Burgundy Grand Crus Dinner at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Melbourne] Very pale straw color. Floral white peach grapefruit bouquet with hints of mineral, limestone, lemon peel, anise, vanilla & smoke. Medium full plus, intense, deep, lush, mineral- & chalk-imbrued stone & citrus fruit flavors with a saline twist as well as discernible oak influence; crisp acidity in fine balance with a sublimal touch of sap, imparting wonderful definition & superb mouthfeel. Long spicy & precise finish. (93.5)

Lemon, floral nose leading to a palate with notes of lemon curd, reduction, pistachio, with a herbal notes. The good acid and mineral undertones give it a tremendous energy. It's lovely. Perhaps not 400+ lovely, but lovely nonetheless.

2011 Burgundy Anniversary Tasting (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Yellow. Citrus and background lactic tones. Medium weight. Honestly, it does not have a great deal more depth than the Premier Cru Chassagne. It does have more subtle complexity, though, a tad of creaminess, and a concordantly more harmonious feel. Good but hardly special-impossible to find justification for this being a $400+ bottle. Not even close to the level that this Grand Cru can achieve.
