The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like honeysuckle. The body is light. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.

Found this out-of-vintage on a store shelf, and unfortunately it had lost its zip in the extra couple of years after peaking. Still a nice dry Riesling from C&C, but the combination of the vintage and the likely age in a retail store put this bottle on a quicker-than-normal downward death spiral. Still, a nice expression of the grape, but acidity had faded far into the background, as had the fruit intensity.

C & C's dry Rieslings and dry Gewurz are price-friendly and food-friendly and this one proved to be the same. Flinty, dry but not austere or astringent with minerality and good fruit - a little lychee nut perhaps. Definitely a drink now, don't recommend past 2015 - I give most whites 4 years, max. Think we paid $6.99 for this @ Costco, but more likely you will find it between $12 and $15, a good deal even at that price.

Clear yellow and lite in the glass. Nose of lemon oil, Fuji apple, peel and honey. Lite body and structured with citrus, green apple, sage, melon and honey on the palate. Mouthwatering acidity and minerals. Short finish.

A very nice Riesling. Acidic with just a hint of sweetness (despite the dry designation). Went very well with a Chinese crab and lobster dinner.
