I remembered this bottle being a little bit more exciting upon its purchase. The nose, with all of its dried fruit characteristics, came off almost dessert-like, but a stinging streak of alcohol broke that up. Flavors made for a nice pair with French onion soup, but a lack of acid and mid palate really hurt this wine. Still solid, especially for the price.

theses sleeper rieslings are amazing. starting with the business model and working on the excellent price point with the supple medium body, light petrol and warmer climate than germany fruit flavors, an amazing bar is set by this new world producer. bravo.

Golden honey color, with apricot and melon on the nose, but the highlight is the interesting palate which echoes Mosel riesling, with nice stoniness, nuts, honey, and peach, with a slightly fizzy mineral finish. Had a modest new world component to it as well (oakiness?) which wasn't entirely pleasing and not as long and complex as similiarly priced German competitors, but worth a look. Have enjoyed other wines from C&C, notably their pinot noir.

Drank a few weeks ago . . . . but recall petrol and hint of sweetness in a balanced wine. Citrus and white stone fruit on the palate. OK finish.

Classic wine with tart citrus, minerality, slate and green pineapple. Really nice for its impersonation of a nice Mosel kabinett.
