  Happy to report back a second much better botte of this. Lemon yellow. Perfectly balanced Chardonnay, nothing is sticking out here, needs about 30 min of air to fully open up and show its best. Very good freshness / acidity and a fine texture on the mid palate. Not a wow wine but truly beautiful. Starts to fade a bit around the 2h mark in the open bottle.
  Great 1er Cru vineyard in a great Burgundy vintage, but (at least from this producer) would drink now as at or slightly past peak in my eyes.

  Might have gotten a bit carried away after having had a few good 2007 white Burgundy recently... Hence I bought 6 of those 2010 Clos des Mouches, given the outstanding vintage and site and my hope that by 2010 the worst in terms of premox would have been over. While this was not outright oxidized, it was very advanced with a dark yellow almost turning copper, and the usual very mature Chardonnay notes. Hopefully some of the other bottles will be better...

  Dit is een van de beste flesjes wit die ik thuis dronk. Direct uit de kelder gedronken. 10 jaar oud en perfect op dronk. Mooi helder, strogeel, geen veroudering merkbaar. Houtrijping duidelijk merkbaar maar zeer evenwichtig. Perfecte match bij verschillende soorten kaas.
  Zeer mooi en nog niet versleten.
