Of the three ungrafted Loire reds tonight, this was a close second to the Breton. Still neon fuschia. Beautiful red fruit plus a little greenness. This showed better a year ago, and we may have caught it in a little awkward phase. I'll lay my last bottle down for a few.
Beautiful red fruit and a little leafiness on the nose. So lively and joyous with bright berry and red fruit flavors finishing with plenty of length and soft tannins. Smooth as silk is a cliche for this wine. Its texture has to be experienced.
Coravined into a Zalto Bdx glass (might as well get a tattoo saying "geek"). Neon translucent fuchsia in the glass. Started off reduced on the nose, sweet fruity palate. As the burnt match-head scent faded with air, a smokey ashen scent enveloped sweet red fruit and pepper. Really loved this wine, and it will interesting to follow its evolution.
