Still youthful in colour, with no sign of maturity at the rim.
Relatively subdued nose with coffee, (baked) plum and a little milk chocolate.
On the palate, there's plenty of action, with very good depth of syrupy fruit, surprsingly fresh acidity and not short on complexity either. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish, but not really significant in the context of the wine as a whole. Not something I'd want to drink every week, but if a big bold wine is needed, this willl do the job. In a good place for drinking, but no great rush required.

Lovely full bodied wine. Beautiful use of oak. Many years ahead. A great example of why there is nothing wrong with multi-region, single variety wines.

Rich, deep purple in colour this Shiraz shows aromas of cassis and plum. Lots of spice and toasty oak followed by a hint of pepper on the palate. Nice ripe tannins. A big and powerful red. Excellent.

Thought it would be way past its peak. Still a beautiful Shiraz. Earth, spice, dry, dark fruit. Very little decay for a 2002. Very yummy.

Very big full bodied Shiraz, exactly the way I love them. Perfect amount of oak and balance of flavours.
