Still a very youthful, straw color. Beautiful nose of slate, lemon/lime zest, apricots, fresh flowers and a bit of mature Riesling “petrol”. Tingly bright on the palate with a bit of spritz, apricots drizzled with honey and lime zest, slatey minerality and flowers. Drink now through 2031. 92.

Has good body and a nice balance of fruit, minerals, acidity and slight sweetness in the finish. One notices especially an element of toasted nuts and pie crust that differentiates it from the JJ. Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr. After being open for an hour, this element became very integrated with the rest of the flavors making for a very attractive wine. It has aged nicely and has plenty of life left.

Light gold. Nose of petrol, apple, and crushed rock. Vinous on the palate. Full, round mouthfeel with apparent residual sugar balanced by nice acidity. The body carries a little more weight than I prefer.
