  • Wonderful bouquet of crimson roses, strawberries, ripe cherries and Parma ham. Very alluring for it's vibrancy and uplifting bouquet. Among all the six (Armilla, Cerbaiona, Altesino, Orino and Poggio), the mouthfeel was clearly the lightest. Smooth tannins and distinctive sourness (tart cherries) reinforced the fresh experience. I thought this was a worthy pairing with the Amuse Bouche of puréed peas with mint. The wine deteriorated by the time the Wagyu beef cheeks were served 3 hours later. 2009 Montevertine Montevertine was more pleasurable.
