Weekly tasting group #215; Old- or New World wine? (@ The factory by MN): Very light and transparent garnet color. In the bouquet a lot of toasted oak, smoke, minerals and also some clove. On the palate the impressions of the bouquet return, there are also some red berries, good acidity and pleasant, slightly sticky tannin which is a bit drying in the finish. Good length. Really good and certainly if you like this style. 88 – 89.

Alc:13.5%; light crimson to browning edges. Noted tertiary bouquet yet interlaced with over-baked plums, red cherry compote, soy and raspberry. A touch of Burgundy's sous Bois. Lively acidity on entry with excellent line and length, balanced with plenty of fruit. Some flesh but quite delicate and no smoky elements. Perhaps a leaner version with some chalk and fine porcelain tannins. Some firmness to the tannin on the back palate supports nicely, although the finish was more medium than long. A lithe wine that hasn't as much complexity as the nose promised but still a lovely wine.

Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club" 2019-04; Spätburgunder (By RvD): In the bouquet red berries, green herbs and rose hips. On the palate red berries, minerals, firm acidity, herbs, earth, autumn impressions, soft and round tannin and a good length. Beautiful wine.

Slightly faded in comparison to last bottle. Definite notes of sour cherry

Top notch complex with a finish of slightly sour cherry but smooth and silky. Drink soon
