Northern Gevrey 1er (Zoom): Oddly this is nothing like a rocking bottle from just a few months ago. Solid aromas of black cherry with some spice and florals. Not that evocative of Gevrey - a down the middle and flat red Burg.

Lucien Le Moine Tasting (My home - Chicago IL): Mostly black cherry, some red cherry with roasted meat, thyme and black pepper. Already very nuanced, this is an absolutely engaging weight, even with its medium/good weight. This and the Jadot were served blind alongside the LLM Cazetiers '10 and '12. We knew these two were either another 10/12 vertical or a '10 or '12 horizontal. There were such stylistic differences, it was clear they were n't from the same producer, and the polish of "Wine 2" (what turned out to be this Bourée) made me think 2010.
I have rarely (never?) had a Pierre Bourée I've enjoyed in probably twenty years. There were some great ones from the '60s that I bought at Brookline Liquor in the '80s, but nothing after that...until tonight. Where did they get this juice?

Gevrey-Chambertin (Northside) 1er Cru Tasting (Chicagoland): Nothing like the great bottle from last summer. This was getting tired and drying on the finish.
