I wish the Broc website had a tech sheet or any notes - flying blind. This is a skin contact Roussanne, but no idea duration or other vinification notes.
Have heard mixed things on the skin contact Roussanne, and know from personal experience and a few other examples, its not super easy to work with this way.
The color is a dark golden yellow, leaning towards an orange hue. Very bright & clear, so likely filtered. (not that thats bad.)
The nose is interesting; white fruit stone fruit flesh, saline, citrus rind, grilled pineapple.
The palate has interesting profile. a bit disjointed, but then I find most orange wines to be, especially this young. Tart orange notes, baked apples.
I think this wine has potential, and is interesting to drink now, but suspect would be rewarded with cellar time. I plan to get a few more bottles for that intent.
This saw 20 days of skin contact. The nose is quite sweet with apples and peaches. This has nice weight and texture but plenty of buoying acidity. Quite nice.

A lithe roussanne that's quite mineral and shows good balance upfront. Smoky pear aroma with a dash of brown spices. It's simpler on the palate and the finish is short but this is a young wine... Nicely done in any case.

Really interesting wine in that it is quite mellow and somewhat austere in its flavor yet has good depth and complexity, like it's whispering something incredibly interesting. Somewhat glyceral feel, beeswax, baked apple and lemons with a bit of medicinal feel on the finish. The acidity comes in really late, well integrated. Great on it's own, awesome with food. I finished off the bottle with seem teriyaki left-overs and it was just great. Tight as a pop and pour, it was better the next day after leaving it in the fridge. Great stuff! I'll be buying this again. 89-90
