Deep purple color. Blackberry, blackcurrant, dark chocolate and vanilla on the nose. On the palate it shows juicy fruit with a balanced vanilla sweetness from the oak. The tannins are soft, and the wine has a plush texture. Medium body, with medium+ finish. Drink now - 2018.

Clear and bright, deep ruby with inky legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of ripe black fruit such as dark plums, dark cherries, black olives, liquorice, lavender, some leafiness, smoked meat, game, cedar and black pepper. It's dry in the mouth, with medium+ acidity, medium+ ripe fine grained tannins, high alcohol, full body and medium+ intensity flavours of dark plums, dark cherries, liquorice, lavender, game and cedar. The finish is long. It's a very good quality wine with a nice complexity provided by a wide range of aromas with hints of maturity, it achieves a good balance between tannins, acidity and alcohol and it has a nice concentration of fruit and lingering finish. It just needs some finesse to be outstanding, it's a heavy exuberant wine, but despite its complexity it does not have elegance. Drink now, but has enought structure and concentration to develop more complexity in the next 2-3 years.

A very good and very typical Malbec from Argentina. Malbec tends to be a one trick pony, no matter how good the trick. This is that kind of wine. A mostly one-dimensional, good tasting wine with pepper notes and a good finish.

This is such a great value for $18. Rich and full bodied, slow drinker. Buy again.
