The best wine and the best value out of the offerings that we tried at the winery. An interesting blend of Tempranillo, Cab Sauvignon and Cab Franc. The nose is medium plus in intensity, with blackberry, raspberry and a hint of leather. The nose is developing. The palate is dry but fruit-forward, showing flavors of blackberry, currant, tobacco and spice. The acidity is medium plus, thanks to the Cab Franc, giving it a welcome freshness. The alcohol, tannins and fruit are all nicely balanced. It is drinking well now but is likely to improve over the next couple of years. This is good by itself but is also very food friendly. OVerall it is a surprisingly elegant and balanced wine and a pretty good deal at the Winery Club price.
