Mid yellow to light gold; right aromas of vanilla, lemon zest, crushed stone and mineral. The mid-palate exudes plenty of lemons met with vibrant acidity, a good iteration of fruit and acid. Medium weight in the mid-palate with a mouthcoating creamy texture, not super complex but down the line warmer climate Chardonnay. It was pretty good, although it started to show lemon cleaner elements as the wine opened further.

Odds & Ends; 12/8/2012-1/6/2013: Tasted blind: A burst of butter starts off the nose, followed by juicy pineapple and mango. Very hedonistic on the nose. On the palate, this wine shows a lot of green and yellow apple fruit, along with butter, which doesn’t overwhelm the fruit. Medium acid keeps it from feeling goopy. Toasted oak lingers on the finish. A solid, easy-drinking wine.

Butter and yellow fruit, but too much oak!
