  • Disappointing. Good colour, slightly odd nose, definitely tannic, lacking fruit and flavour, even thin. we did not finish the bottle. Probably the vintage, but I expect better from Bachelet.

  • Meaty, earthy with celery salt notes on the nose. Austere, superb balance, very Gevrey. A great wine.

  • A nice food wine which has developed some nice secondary characters. initial bottle funk blew off in about 10 minutes. needed about 1 hr decant for the fruit to emerge. lots of dry red cherry notes with the smell of old barrels/old wood and some hints of earthines. Precise and vibrant with some sweet nuances of old fruit what made this fun was the aromatics that kept opening up and constatntly changing -a camillion of scents. While the flavors never reached the highs of the aromas it is a great food wine with a serious dose of acidity, so it serves well with slightly fatty foods ar salty flavors. This Peaked between 1-1.5 hrs in the decanter so consume over the next few years. Finished off the bottle with a pc of Cambazzola which matched great with the high acid finish

(Bachelet Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru "Corbeaux") Big, chunky, rich, deep. Sweet fruit. Powerful Pinot but still light on its feet.
