  • Nice nose of dark fruits vanilla and some flowers. Primary flavors of black raspberry and black currant. Fresh and vibrant with nice acidity. Decent mouth feel that put on weight overnight. good finish and overall nice wine.

  • Pop and poured. Nose initially lilies, raspberries, and dark fruits. Nose was great out of the bottle…still a little laden with lilies, yet hints of oak and vanilla. Palate consisted of floral (lilies) notes with par-dried tobacco, dark fruit preserves, and with more pinot-like notes of raspberry and terrior. We like this wine after the fact, however, would have enjoyed a Mitolo Serpico if given a choice.

  • Pascula Toso is an italian family and the Mama is Magdalena Toso and so the name was given to the top wine of the Bodega. It´s 95% Malbec and 5% cab "to give it a steel structure", in the words of Paul Hobbs. Very dark purple color. Resinous nose, cedar and dark berries. Much more elegantand sophisticated than the malbec reserva (no american oak, only french for 24 months). Great structure and acidity, will probably age very weel (Hobbs said 20 years??). Very fine tannins, good balance and a long savoury finish. Hobbs said Decanter magazine elected this wine one of the top three malbecs from argentina together with Hobbs´ own Cobbos and Catena Zapata.
