General Italian tasting (121 BC, Sydney): Aromas of red cherry and berry dominate the nose and are underpinned by hints of cream, cedar and slight sweet tobacco. In the mouth the primary flavour is of sour, tart, cherry. There is some talk like tannin which leads into the introduction of an aniseed note on the medium length finish. Hmm.

Vini Wine importers trade tasting with Giorgio De Maria (Berta Restaurant, Sydney): Unripe damson and cherry with slight sulphur/struck match qualities and a dustiness. In the mouth the body is quite light and the high levels of tannin and acid dominate the quite slight fruit profile.
