Opened and decanted - first impressions were the best. Very soft, well-integrated....but finish was a bit flat. Fear it may be passing through the end of drinking window. This is my only bottle (gift from a friend) so I have nothing to compare to. A tad bitter around the edges, but all in all a good wine. Hope you've drunk yours already!

Tasted at the winery...due to time constraints at the tasting I have little detail, but this was a bit more fruit forward than the '10 and '11, big rich and well textured. Stylistically I prefer the 2010 which seemed more structured but some would prefer the 2009.

Mike Bolen never disappoints! I just wish his wine was easier to get. We enjoyed this beautiful wine at MKT. in Seattle with pork, scallops, pasta & veggies. It crossed all foods almost perfectly.

I'm not going to rate it because it's clearly past it's prime. But, it was still quite good; just not great. If you still have some, drink it now.
