Decent nose, with typical notes of blackberries and bramble, but there was the hint of disjointed alcohol and acid that would become more pronounced on the palate. This wine had no fruit presence or character on the palate, and there was a sharp edge of acidity that had nothing with which to partner. An overall lack of balance. Thin finish.

Blackberry perfume on the nose with a firm fruit finish that has just a hint of tobacco, spice, and vanilla. Very nice, I wish I had another bottle or two.

This is a very typical California Zinfandel with classic dark cherries blackberries on the nose. Jammy mouthfeel with vanilla and toast on the finish. There is nothing at all wrong with this wine, but also nothing that really makes it stand out in the crowd.

Given how impressed I have been with this label and prior bottles of the vintage, this one was disapointing. The Liars Dice I have had before was fruity, powerful and reminiscient of Turley. This was a bit sour, lacking any compelling fruit and had an unattractive cigar-taste finish. Drink it really, really fast if you still have it (or give it away to an unsuspecting friend).

Aroma of big red cherry, slight alcohol and green pepper. Very fruit forward cherry palate that finishes to some oak and a little tart fruit at the end. Short linger of chery and some tar. Finishes very dry.
