Clear, medium lemon colour with presence of legs. Clean, medium- intensity developing nose with notes of fresh lime, ripe peach and grass. In the mouth it's dry, with medium acidity, medium delicate alcohol, medium body and medium intensity flavours of lime, ripe apricot, white flowers and fresh grass. Medium finish. It's a good quality wine, although it lacks intensity in the nose. Can drink now, but has potential for further ageing.

The only bottle of Aidani brought back from Santorini last year. Pale straw with greenish tinge, fresh and lively on the nose with citrus, lemon and hints of mineral. The palate has nice mineral, along with lemon zest, grapefruits and green apple. Lovely acidity, high and mouth watering lead through the mid-palate to a long lingering finish. Interestingly I found it paired very nicely with the veggie (xiao bai chye). The dry bitterness from the veggie can cut down the acidity and let the mineral and fruits flavours shine through. This is a very nice white with good intensity and signature Santorini mineral. Oh I miss Santorini!

Estate Argyros Visit: Made by lesser known varietal Aidani which normally blend with other varietal. A bold attempt but it proof to be very good. Bright straw. This has an aromatic nose, plenty of tropical fruits and citrus fruits. Crisp acidity with pure fruits flavour and nice long finishing. Made in a refreshing style and good alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.

Douglas Lamb Wines Trade Tasting (Art House Hotel, Pitt Street, Sydney): Tart fruit, slight green apple and sweet spice over flinty minerality. In the mouth it's all about apple and spice. The texture is mouth coating the acidity licks gently at the palate. Nice.
