  Slightly oxidative in style, beautifully balanced. Notes of brioche and apricot.

  Pale to mid straw. Freshly cut red apple with a hint of crème pat behind it. Mid weight, nicely rich, the 8g dosage feeling quite prominent at the moment. A lightness and elegance despite the weight of fruit. Very drinkable, indeed almost too drinkable in that a bottle opened to provide an aperitif across two days appears to have evaporated inside 30 mins. ****

  Dinner with Friends (R&R's): Light golden yellow color with notes of apple, almond and ginger. Orchard fruit, ginger and brioche on the palate. Fine bead with balancing acidity. Very nice. 92-93 pts. (R&R)

  Complex and perfectly balanced. More than decent length, mature but still very young, this is really an excellent bottle.

  This bottle tasted a little past its prime unfortunately. Still incredible layers of chardonnay driven flavors, that are even more deep and evolved than before, but they are offset by a loss of a bit of its effervescence and energy that it had in its youth. It's certainly personal preference whether the deepness of the flavors or the vibrancy is more important for a champagne but I would personally recommend drinking this sooner rather than later.
