'Douro AO' Red blend made from 40% 'Tinta Roriz', 30% 'Touriga Franca' & 30% 'Tinta Barroca'. Clear, purple ruby, medium intensity, with clean, medium intensity on the nose, with some floral, earthy, fruity aromas. Appeal on the nose, but with high tannin, high acidity, 13.5% alcohol with slight burning sensation, medium to full body, fruity on the palate (red berries), oaky, earthy, some leather flavor, easy to drink but no complexity. Some astringency and medium finish. Easy to drink and simply good. 83.

Alluring nose that starts with cran-raspberry fruit, continues with some cinnamon and white pepper , and tails off with the feint scent of chopped fresh mushrooms. The exciting nose is not accompanied by what the palate has to offer. The fruit is there - and it's good - but the texture is watery and the spice is all but lost. Some light acidity and tannins save this from being diet fitness water.
It's definitely drinkable, and I would actually recommend over some other $8 bottles for a party... but it's underwhelming.

Nice nose, a little spicy, red fruit; med bodied, good acid. Would not recommend to buy. 83
