Cassis, spices and a surprising sense of place and lively wine making by one of the pioneers of Paso Robles wines. Not really my favorite wines any more but I appreciate the lessons learned and this was a good teacher along the way.
Deep red opaque color. Bright fruit initially as in pomegranite, not quite ripe blackberry, cranberry with high acidity which builds through the finish. The body is medium weight and the finish is also medium except for the acidity which carries on long after the flavors
