My first experience with this grape was in Austria. I like Carlisle wines, and this one was ok, but not an Austrian Gruner. This was an easy drinking, smooth wine. Nice goldish color. I didn't taste/small anything noted in the comments below mine. There was a little oak showing. Sorry kenV.
Lovely floral citrus nose. Elegant and floral in the mouth. Crisp and full in the finish with an appealing bite. Perfect for pasta with butter and asiago. Should drink well for several years. A pleasure to drink. Amy really likes it too.
This was a decent bottle of a varietal I am not really familiar with. I found it enjoyable like I would an SB but didn't't find myself wanting more. Would I buy next time? Totally a price dependent decision.
Opened 4 days ago. Took to dinner that night to celebrate the wife's bday. Hasn't lost any energy or flavor since. Kick ass aromatic here, with citrus and some vanilla bean. Terrific texture, medium plus weight, spicy with orange, lemon and honey. Has a cool bitter note in the finish with good carrying acid. All together, hits the intersection of fruit and acid in a moderately rich style. My only bottle of this, really enjoyed it.
