I deliberately buried this in my cellar to wait a decade to see if any fruit emerged, since it was all minerals upon release. The answer was Yes. You age wine and if you are lucky, it gets fruitier and flavor emerges.

Light ruby in color. Nose of cherries almost like a Pinot Noir. Sour, tart cherries on the palate. Good acidity but lacks complexity and depth. Reminds me of cherry sweet tarts that I ate as a kid.

Notes from memory. Loads of red fruit, cherry, some modest acids. Good but much more "red" than I expected. A touch sweeter than I like as well. Good not great.

Rich sweet cherry nose, yet not quite a sweet on the palate, which is nice. Nice acidity that pairs well with food. We served with grilled flank steak and it was a nice pairing. Great "summer" red for grilled meats. Rich enough to hold up to the meat, but gentle enough for summer.
