Nose shows bright, sharp fruit notes of blackcurrant and raspberry, with spicy green notes of mint, eucalyptus, and pepper. Palate is light-to-medium-bodied, with faint tannins and sour acidity. Flavour is nice, but definitely underripe, with sour fruit flavours of cherry and blackcurrant alongside crunchy green flavours of capsicum, pepper, and mint.

Although I would not call it typical, I kind of like the rustic, earthy, almost Chilean like flavor and aroma profile of this wine. The nose has a stemmy, tree bark, eucalyptus influence to the red cherry, red raspberry, and other darker fruits. The color is not particularly intense magenta. Barely medium bodied. Starts with nice, tart cherry fruit, by no means big or overpowering. Continues with a light plum and blackberry. What really makes this wine unique is the hard to describe secondary flavors that remind me of the taste of raw, young tannins, but probably are the result of a combination of the oak, stems, young tannins, and maybe some extended skin contact. It works, but I can see how some may not like it. As the glass gets some more air, both red tart cherry, and black cherry flavors start to emerge. Short, tannic, cherry finish.
