From (our last) double-magnum. As described last May with any differences negligible. In this 3L format would've easily held here for another 2-4 yrs but without improvement.

From 3L. Softer and more integrated than magnum opened in Feb. Showing equally dark fruit without the tannins or acidity previously noted. Slightly disappointed that larger format isn't showing better than bottles and magnums already consumed. Preserving remainder of this dmag for consumption over next few days. 1 3L left in cellar to try whenever it may be needed.

From magnum. Secondary notes of dark cherry and plum, a little tannic on Day 1. Nicely softened on Day 2 with wonderfully melded fruit. Terrific now, enough fruit to allow another 2-3 years in the cellar while tannins resolve.

Served this wine with BBQ ribeye. Great pairing. Wine is getting a little old. Starting to loose some fruit and acid. I still have more and need to drink up.
