Upon opening this shows darker fruit and menthol on the nose, and herbs, wild berries and more menthol on the palate. With air the menthol integrates nicely, creating a brambly herbal quality, which adds a lot of interest. Just a hint of alcohol coming through is the only thing that keeps my score from being higher. Otherwise, it is nicely balanced and in a good spot, although the fresh fruit and tannins suggest another 5 or 10 years in the drinking window.
