A private tasting (Restaurant De Ertepeller, Papendrecht. NL): Tasted blind. Mature but lively appearance; mature and earthy aromas, spicy and stemmy nose; firm and drying palate, tannic but with a certain charm; good length. Solid but pedestrian and completely lacking the finesse and fragrance of the terroir.

Dull red, showing signs of age. Muted red fruits and some floral and earth notes. Medium bodied, resolved tannins and a little acidic kick at the end. This was drinking nicely but didn't seem to have the stuffing to age much more. Good but a little underwhelming for Amoureuses.

Tasted blind. More mature than previous wines, but very elegant with good length!
