Reading notes form 2 years ago, I liked it more the . Not sure if it is getting a little more tired or if I am just drinking a lot more white burgundy and gravitating towards a more acidic leaner style. I still like this but it feels a little heavy handed. Lemon custard, pineapple, brown spice. And lots of oak. It is nice.

not much to add to my last note. Really like this wine : "Tanzer calls this remarkably burgundy and I am not sure I understand. This tastes to me of California. But I love it and I tend to love French Chardonnay over California by a wide margin. I guess there is a French element to it but it would be towards the southern climates of burgundy. Rich stuff. Chewy tactile wine with tropical yellow fruits and a leesy note. Some good tannins without a lot of acidity. I look forward to watching this over the coming years." Does not seemed to evolved a lot since the last go.

Drank blind next to comparable bottle from Burgundy.
In comparison, a more vibrant yellow in the glass.
A touch of sweetness on the nose.
Dominant buttery oak on the palate, making it easy to pick out as a Cali version.
Good but the oak became somewhat tedious.

Mixed fruit complex and pleasing, touch of mineral. A bit too sweet, light oak, mid palate was fresh, pleasing finish. Overall a nice chardonnay.
