Still appears fairly youthful in the glass. Edge is translucent but a deep red core remains. Pretty quiet on the nose, a bit of black fruit, cherry syrup, and subtle spice. Nice acidity with the higher alcohol. Tannins are still prevalent. Mouthfeel is a bit awkward though. Texture is lacking compared to the intense combination of alcohol and acidity. It isn’t boozy, but it’s got bite. Probably a bit last it’s ideal drinking window.

Rocking wine. Beautifully smooth and integrated. Fruity, sure, make no mistake, but this is fruity wine done well. And i prefer that to astringent wine done well. So at $31 (3rd Corner, CA), this is a terrific buy that makes you wish you were sober enough to rush out and buy another bottle. Did an excellent job with a tagliata (lemony) steak supper. Wow. Super good.

This is fan-friggin-tastic. Classic Sonoma Zin nose and on the palatte but everything turned up to 11. it is one of those reds that a) you are surprised that the bottle is empty b) and sad about it. it is that good. the best zin i have had in a while. probably not a food wine - this is a sipper/cocktail wine.

This is an excellent Zin! Great fruit, med. to heavy bodied with soft tannins and perfect acidity. Juicy ripe strawberries with ripe black raspberries mixed in.

(Saxon-Brown Zinfandel Fighting Brothers Cuvée) Very dark ruby color; appealing, ripe black currant, black fruit, light sage, violets, mulberry nose; very tasty, rich but balanced, juicy, violets, ripe black currant, ripe berries, blueberry palate; long finish 93+ points (15.5% alcohol)

Delicious. Hits all the standard zin notes. Pepper, vanilla, oak, lots of fruit. Superb balance and mouth feel. Short decant. Long finish.
