A fruity alcoholic aroma; good berries, with a little oak, and plenty of alcohol. The oak takes a back seat here. The flavor is a little sharp, with bright berries, alcohol, and medium tannins, which stick around for the finish. Has a deep, dark color, with a little bright maroon edge in the glass. I think the 2011 is drinking better now.
Tasted at 64–70°F.

Strong medicinal bouquet. Very sweet and oaky yet with a unpleasant aftertaste. I used to like it better. Reviewed my previous score accordingly

Juicy, tart, sour cherry, very light tannins, doesn't do much for me.

Dark black cherry. Quite sweet for a 'dry' wine. Hot with the classic Pali burning alcoholic finish.
