  • Cork snapped. Very dense, opaque coloring here, with ruby just at the very edges. Not particularly aromatic, but showing some darker fruits and minerals. Medium body, medium(+) acid and finish, with flavors of tart black and dark red fruits, lemon, and minerals. Worked fine tonight with simple bean and cheese burritos, but I'd call the pairing for grilled meats. If I had any more, I'd probably drink them over the next few years.

  • A nose of sour cherry and spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red with blackberry, cheery, plum, some chocolate and spice on finish. Was pungent in spots, never had this grape before (Bobal), decant for a couple hours, a food wine. www.winelx.com
