Better than the 2012 vintage. So much brighter and lighter and lively. Brambly, dark, and cedar nose The palate dances on the tongue with dark stone fruit and berry flavors and refreshing acidity. All for $17.99.

This wine is a reality check on Mencia. If you saw the terroir and land, you would know. Literally grows above graphite. It is a amazing. This is where it picks up the intense crushed rock minerality road dust notes. This reminds me of a Morgon or other Cru Beaujolais. This is a real Mencia and it

Decanted this one for 2-3 hours and drank over 2 hours. Clearly young but a very nice wine. Dark cherry, blueberry and herbs. A bit wild with enough sweet fruit to keep it balanced. Acidity came with time open. I would guess this has the stuffing for 5-10 years at least. Refreshing to not have a wine with too much oak. Great with game meats. Mencia from Ribeira Sacra is delicious.

Sweet, plummy fruit and umami finish. Lively.
