Cloudy garnet. Crunchy red fruit up front, the expected lean, angular core with black tea, flowers and earth and finishing with good acidity on the backend. Fully integrated tannins give a nice mouthfeel. Haven't had Sandler wines before but this is bang on what I'd expect from ~8 year old Bien Nacido pinot.

Nose shows sweet hi-toned macerated cool red fruits and palate does as well. Nicely resolved and showing family resemblance to the latest iteration of Sandlers Bien Nacido, I can sense an early position seeking on this (2nd commercial vintage). It tannins are fully resolved and its acidity ride a bit high and this is a lively vivacious wine with tons to like even if a bit more playful than say the 2015, 2012, 2013 or 2014 and especially the 2010. Oh yeah, I have had them all.

Falltacular 2013 (FMIII in the OC): Nose is sweet red fruit as you'd expect from this vineyard which transitions directly to the palate. The finish is tangy and Wine has notes of sandlewood. Very good.
