Labeled as 13% abv. Dark crimson color. Immediately comes across as having more depth and nuance than the Lafarge Bourgogne Rouge. It has some savory/herbal notes as well as dark fruit. It is a little drying on the finish. The fruit notes seem to ride on a top level while savory notes undergird the fruit.

This continues to be a really excellent value Burgundy; drinking as well as any 2011 as I've tasted; beautiful nose of pure red fruits, spice, floral notes, and stony earth. The palate is elegant and lovely; very pleasurable to drink. A rare find of sub-$40 Chambolle that is simply delightful. I will be on the lookout for more wines from this producer.

Lovely light ruby color with nose that is classic Chambolle; airy red fruits, bright floral notes, hints of spice, and wet limestone. Seduction in a sniff... the palate is excellent for the level and vintage. Nicely balanced with excellent freshness and energy, very good depth for a village wine and a harmonious finish. For the price and vintage, this is without a doubt one of the best values available in Burgundy. If you enjoy elegant, fresh, and delicious Chambolle, this is a bottle to look for.

Medium red. Lightly perfumed, floral and berry fruit plus something dusty or smoky. It's better in the mouth with medium bodied dark cherry, menthol and cedar. Acid is prominent but the flesh is adequate foil. Typical. Has another 5 years of life, for sure.

Seeking Terroir; Comparing village Chambolle and Vosne: This is a nice spot now, starting to show tertiary character. The finish is surprisingly long for an '11 and it shows very Chambolle.
