good basic touraine blanc that is round on the palate but still is in a staight jacket on your tongue..good acidity..good quaffing wine with a hint of Villemade funk..tasty..served withpan seared chicken thighs, and couscous with lemon and olives, mint, parsley and schmaltz

This gets better with each passing bottle. Color is a lightly hazy straw yellow and the body is obvious. The citrus and hint of fresh croissant remain in the bouquet. Palate delivers great salinity and a tropical umami factor with balance and a crisp edge. A bit of herb and pepper blend into the finish. Delicious AND cheap :) 4+10+17+9 = 90

There's something about the aromas in Loire Valley wines from Villemade that smells like peanuts. It's attractive, like roasted peanuts. Good bracing acid to this wine, and minerality. Some rounded buttery notes too, but just hints. A good quaffing white wine on a hot day. Unfiltered.

Very mineral-driven, with a seaside salinity. Nicely balanced fruit and acidity, with a tannic like dryness to the finish. I suspect this will evolve favorable for a number of years. Tasty now, probably even better in 2015.

Yogurt nose, in the best possible way. A bit cloudy. Good stuff. Cream and structure. Not as tense as some Chevernys I know.
