I am a sucker for a malo’d Chardonnay – the lees ageing delivers a toasty, nutty hazelnut quality & additional complexity. Served at 11°C – perfect.
Deep gold in the glass, expect muted pineapple & orange blossoms on the nose – with nutmeg, graham cracker, hazelnut, & vanilla coming to the fore. It is a delight to smell...
The palate has a lush, ripe, fleshy, buttery quality…with a touch of toasted marshmallow on the medium+ finish.
If, like me, you enjoy oaky Chard – this delivers. 😊
Paired with scallops lobster and seared tuna. Was very nice! Oaky buttery richness paired up awesome with our seafood feast! Def a really nice Chardonnay!
