Golden colour. Just like most Chardonnay from America, tons of oak scents soaring from the glass, coconut, cream, cheeze. Though the great amount of barrel posed, its overripe fruit character showing baked orange, corn and apricot jam still hard to hide. Lack of acidity to balance its high alcohol. A round texture finally provide a good mouth feel that the wine would not be annoying. People who love the style might falll in love into this popcorn with apricot jam bottle. Drink now

Nose pear, pineapple, melon, grapefruit, ocean spray, oak. Drinking citrus, mineral, beeswax, oak, vanilla, bitter grapefruit finish. The new oak is a little bit too much for me. It's is after all 9 years old and I expected this to be dead - a pleasant surprise but not my type of wine because of the oak and sweetness. Drank very cold. Guessing 45 degrees. As it warms it really put on weight - mostly in a good way but the oak sits a bit more ontop of it of course.

too much oak and vanilla when too cold and first opened. This wine sings at about 65 degrees and after an hour. Still lots of vanilla, but the pear fruit comes through as it opens. Good complexity and a lasting finish.

needs to be opened 2-3 hours for hedonistic complexity. Lots of musk melon, almond and pear notes, sharp minerality, good acidity and a long finish. Best served at about 65 degrees (warmer than expected).

a bit over-oaked. Good fruit and some interesting anise overtones in the nose.
