  • There is a blackberry, strawberry, smoke and cardamom lift in the nose layered on stable and eucalyptus. The palate is inky, acidic, fruity, perhaps a bit reticent, will build a lot of great character with more age.

  • Beautiful open nose with ripe fruit of raspberries and blackberries. Also a bit earthy with a horse stable, but very balanced, also complex and beautiful. On the palate with an unexpected fruity sweet beginning, not completely dry with a medium plus body. In the finish integrated acidity, rather lighter raspberries and minimal pleasant bitter accent with good length. Lacks Precision. Actually a nice wine, but pushes its quite strong fruity sweetness (Chaptilisation?) on the mid palate something out of balance and disturbs the otherwise very strong overall impression. Completely different style than the previously tasted, slenderly precise, but rather lean Gevrey by Arlaud from the same Vintage, whose balance appeals to me more.
