Absolutely delicious, spicy, earthy, brightly layered red fruit and such lovely texture. Perfect tonight with a halibut sauteed in nopales. Will buy more of this producer when I can find it.

Talula's Table with a few Berserkers - Late Summer menu: Very pretty nose of sassafras, mint, and furniture or shoe polish of some sort - oddly in a good way. Nice wine, but lacking depth. One to drink on the young side, I think.

Not going to blow anyone away, but pleasant weeknight Burgundy, with a riper profile. Gave one as a gift, brought one to a restaurant for a group to share. Drink anytime now.

A cracking little wine from a vintage I've actively tried to avoid thus far. The colour is striking at first as it's much darker than expected: barely transparent. Overall the flavour is red fruited and tasty. Everything about this wine is in proportion, balanced and right. With time it unfurls, revealing more depth and body finishing with something a touch bitter.
The most striking thing is that despite all the deliciousness, there is no way this wine is at peak. Five or six years could really let it shine, enhancing the aromatics and bringing the palate beyond the obvious fruit. Time will tell.
