At first, the nose is missing... with time muted cherry pit emerges, with a strong ashy note and stems. The palate is bitter cherry with some grip, rustic and again stems are prominent. The finish is slightly austere and disjointed, with some hints of green notes. Well below par at this stage.
Red fruits, spices, a bit less body than one finds in most other vintages for this wine; somewhat chalky tannins, although not so much that they interfere with current drinking. Difficult to know where this wine is going from here. Not for those who have problems with whole cluster wines! Cellared since original release.

Coravin fun - Burgundy (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Stalks! But controlled...a touch of ashiness and Asian five spice, very slight soy, over red berried fruits. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, savoury and tight, stalks present on the palate a little more aggressively, chalky tannins. Hmm. Time to settle down?

Red fruits, some tenderness, but not yet fully open -- potential for further improvement. Cellared since original release.

This wine just doesn't seem to be moving. Cassis and dark cherry, a bit of chalkiness, still some tannin. Cellared since original release.
