Depending on how you like your wine, this one is great either straight from the bottle or left to breathe over a few hours' time. Deep, berry nose with overtones of blueberry, cherry & vanilla. Don't let the initial white pepper bite dissuade you. A delicious bottle, especially yummy during Fall months of cool nights and warm days.

A lengthy decant reveals aromas of baked strawberry and cherry that come with cooked rhubarb notes and yet the nose is not jammy. Notes of cardamom, plum, soft white pepper, dried herbs, vanilla and hints of white chocolate and baking spices. Pure Zinfandel on the palate. Round and silky showing good density, balanced, but not thick and heavy. Flavors of strawberry rhubarb pie, baking spices, red cherry, vanilla, dried herbs, rose petals and dried flowers. The finish lingers pleasantly. Overall this is aging well and showing exceptional balance.

Popped and poured. Cherry, raspberry, black tea and vanilla with ripe chewy tannins. Finishes with good length. Full bodied. Served with macaroni and cheese.

Past it's peak. I have found these vintages to be on the decline with less fresh fruit and life.
